Bridge Teamwork: Communication is Everything!

This program clearly presents this concept and describes that when practiced properly, this first rule of bridge teamwork will keep crews on task and ships safe.  It also explores the importance of working as a team on board ship, especially on the bridge where communication is vital. The film gives us an understanding of how an efficient bridge is run, with clear lines of communication between the master and his officers - all working as a team.  The viewer is taken onto the bridge to see the flow of frequent and detailed information.  Key components such as "margins of safety", "parallel indexing", and "wheel over positions" are explored. We see that on a well run ship, nothing is left to chance and procedure pays off.
